Something Different

Good morning readers, I hope you are all well!

This post will be a little different — but don’t worry, we’ll return to creating awareness for all chronic illnesses soon. This month we’ll be focusing on Epilepsy, but today, I wanted to share something that’s been on my heart and mind lately.

I came across a video recently where a lady said these words:

“Repeat after me: I can rest now, God is in charge, and all is well and well indeed.”

Those words really touched me. It made me realize that with so much happening in the world — uncertainty, stress, pain, and fear — we truly need to lean closer to God and trust Him more deeply in these times.

Sometimes, it feels like we have to be strong all the time, constantly fighting battles seen and unseen. But I’ve learned that letting go isn’t weakness — it’s faith. Resting doesn’t mean giving up; it means believing that God can handle what we can’t.

There’s such peace in surrender. When we take a moment to breathe, to pause, and to say, “Lord, I trust You,” something shifts inside us. The chaos may not disappear, but our hearts find calm in His presence.

Peace isn’t found in perfect circumstances — it’s found in perfect faith.

To anyone feeling tired or burdened today — emotionally, physically, or spiritually — I want to remind you of Jesus’ beautiful invitation in Matthew 11:28:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

That verse has carried me through so many hard moments. Especially for those living with chronic illness, every day can feel like a test of endurance. But even in our weakness, God is strong. Every small act of courage, every moment we choose faith over fear, is a victory.

My heart also goes out to everyone affected by Hurricane Melissa. Jamaica, Cuba, Bahama’s, Bermuda and other nearby islands who have faced heart-breaking devastation — homes lost, communities flooded, and so many families displaced. The images are hard to see, but even in the middle of all that pain, I’ve been reminded of the incredible strength and unity of our people. It’s in times like these that faith, compassion, and community truly shine the brightest.

So today, let’s give ourselves permission to rest — not just our bodies, but our hearts and minds too. Let’s trust that God’s plan is greater than our understanding, and that He’s already working things out for our good.

“Lord, help me to rest in Your promises, to trust in Your timing, and to know that all truly is well in Your hands.”

Take a deep breath today. You can rest now — God is in charge, and all is well indeed. 💜
